Journalism

Art has been a Nevada journalist and publicist much of his life, starting with student newspapers at Gorman High School and Nevada Southern University (now UNLV).

Las Vegas Sun

He worked full time for the old Las Vegas Sun as a sports writer and page editor in the late 1960s. 

Review Journal

He was a feature writer for the Review-Journal's former Sunday magazine, The Nevadan.  He has been an occasional correspondent and guest columnist for every other Nevada daily newspaper.

UNLV

Art has been a publicist for the UNLV Department of Intercollegiate  Athletics, Mickey Finn Productions the Las Vegas Jaycees and others.

Rail History

Most of Art's feature stories are about preserving Nevada's unique rail history or current political events.  He was given awards by  national railway historical societies for his preservation journalism.
